Freeclimbing - for the brave one


Freeclimbing takes a lot of courage and physical ability and can be done on natural and artificial rock faces. Thanks to its diverse landscape, Serbia has a great many natural sites which are excellent for freeclimbing.

In urban areas, such as in Belgrade, Kladovo, Kikinda, Novi Sad, Niš and Kopaonik, there is an ever growing number of modern, artificial climbing walls.

  Natural rocks:
  • Belgrade - natural rock V1 V2 (Košutnjak), V3 (Topčider), technical weight from 7- to 9+  
  • Borski stol - 20 km from city Bor, technical weight from 6- to 8-
  • Gornjak - 120 km east from Belgrade 
  • Petrovac na Mlavi - rock is high about 100 m, technical weight from 7- to 8+
  • Jelašnica - 20 km from city Niš, technical weight from 6- to 9+
  • Ovčar and Kablar - 20 km from city Čačak, technical weight from 7- to 8+
  • Sićevo - 31 km from Niš,  technical weight from 7- to 8-
  • Valjevo - 110 km southwest from Belgrade, technical weight from 5+ to 10-

  Artificial rocks:
  • Belgrade, Ada Ciganlija - climbing outdoors, rocks polyester verticals, height is about 15 m
  • Hall of Sport, Belgrade - rock measuring approximately 250 m², the height of the rock is about 15 m, rope climbing, boulddering
  • Kladovo, Youth Center and Camp , Karataš - the high of the rock is 13 m, rope climbing
  • Kopaonik, hotel "Grand" - the high of the rock is 15 m, rope climbing
  • Novi Sad, beach Štrand - climbing outdoors, rope climbing
  • Divčibare, river Kolubara - climbing the frozen waterfalls, ice climbing

  1. Have you ever climbed free? I think this is extraordinary for those who like action and adrenaline. Do you have the courage to go? I would loveee to try this. Maybe we can try together. Gooo girl haha :)

    1. I would like to try this extreme sport, but at this moment I don't have enough courage to go.. yeah, we should try this together for maybe 10 years :)
